I have a straw hat client from Germany. I suggested her to use my forwarder to get much cheaper cost, but she finally used hers, because her forwarder said air shipment is 3-4days. I respected her choice.
I sent goods there on 7th,May, finally my client said she got order on 28th, May.
That is much longer than she expected. But I know it is common. Sometimes, forwarders’ spoken lead time is just a part, not a whole. Exporting from a country (3-4days) and importing to a country(5-7days) both need days, that even takes longer than flying days at most time.
So when get a contact with a new supplier or forwarder, you can ask whole days.
insist on: order earlier, less cost.
